Sabina is on the Bleeding edge of the #TIMES UP movement. Her story epitomizes the abuse suffered by women in the workplace. She has been dog-piled by powerful and corrupt administrators and colleagues because she helped a student victim of sexual harassment and had the courage to complain about the retaliation she received for her advocacy. By standing up for her rights she has exposed severe corruption in UW Platteville and in the UW System Legal Department. By doing so she has pissed off some corrupt people.
On 6-8-18 the UW System Board of Regents fired Dr. Sabina Burton. The reasons given were vague, bogus and false. Dr. Sabina Burton’s story is an amazing example of the abuse women suffer in the workplace and on campuses and the lengths to which those in power will go to protect a sexual predator and their dirty little secrets.
I am Sabina’s husband, and a former U.S. Marine fighter pilot. I solemnly swore "that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God." I have discovered an enemy to the Constitution of the United States, a domestic enemy. Though I am no longer in the office for which I made that oath, it is in my veins. When Sabina was offered a bribe, I did not hesitate to voice my objection to compromising her values. She agreed, and she lost her job for it. We are both now locked in a battle we cannot win. But those are the kinds of battles Marines somehow find a way to win. I reaffirm my oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all its domestic enemies. I no longer wear a Marine uniform, but so help me God I will well and faithfully fight the legal battles ahead of me in defense of the Constitution of the United States, my wife and all of our daughters and sons.
I am appalled that Dr. Michael Dalecki, a professor at UW Platteville advised a graduate student that his loyalties should be with the person who is paying him. His advice was essentially, ‘don’t stand up for what you know is right because if you do, you might get hurt.’ I spit on Dalecki’s advice. I am fighting this legal battle to keep people like Dalecki from influencing other faculty, students and future police officers. Dalecki was interim chair of the UW Platteville Criminal Justice Department. Imagine him teaching classrooms full of future police officers that they should be loyal to anyone who pays them. Just imagine. We were able to get him removed from that position, but he is still teaching Wisconsin’s future leaders.
I have studied the corruption in the UW System since 2012 and I have compiled a trove of evidence against them. I, Roger Burton, was sexually assaulted as a child. I know how that feels. It can make you feel weak, confused and vulnerable. It can also give you the resolve necessary to face your fears and try to make real change happen if you have any assurance of success. You need to believe there is a chance to win and that the reward is worth the risk. Whatever anyone else does, I’m standing with Dr. Sabina Burton. I believe she will win in the end. I believe the reward will be that our daughters will build their careers in a society that values women and doesn’t protect the animals who prey on them. Sabina and I are alone facing a corrupt and powerful entity hell bent on destroying us. We have spent our retirement money and our daughter's tuition money. We can't afford to hire an attorney to represent us in federal court so we will do it without an attorney. We have asked for pro-bono assistance but so far, nobody has offered free help or financial support, save a drop in the bucket from relatives and friends. I personally would give everything I have and everything I will ever have to remove this corruption. So profound, is the cancer I have found in our society.

Dr. Sabina Burton attempts to hold the University of Wisconsin System accountable. She is currently scheduled for about a four-day court hearing beginning about mid 2020 in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Wisconsin (Madison). Anyone who cares about sexual harassment, women’s rights, tenure rights and freedom of speech should make plans to attend these court hearings.
Hypocrisy, Lies, Mendacity, Deceit, Retaliation, Perjury, Forgery, Fraud, Violations of Law, Violations of Policy, Violations of Ethics, Violations of Human Decency, Sexual Harassment: the UW System Board of Regents should not support and protect these things. As a person of integrity, I am absolutely shocked by the number of people; real human beings with free will; Americans in the land of the Free and the Brave; who are willing to turn a blind eye to truth and even to participate in workplace retaliation against supporters of student victims of sexual harassment. My hope and prayer is that good people will stand with us. So far there have been very few. All of Sabina's supporters who were employed in the UW System have been retaliated against. If you are currently employed by the UW System you probably understand that you are not safe supporting Sabina. But you still need to stand with her. If you are fine with being a coward sitting in the shadows, you may stay there the rest of your career. If you believe the time has come for women and men of courage to stand up against Sexual Harassment, forces that silence voices of reason, and retaliation against proponents of fair governance then you need to step out of the shadows and support a champion. Dr. Sabina Burton needs help to win this. If she wins, there will be reverberations throughout the UW System that will force the Board of Regents to take a serious look at these things. If she loses, then person's of integrity, character and courage will continue to be routinely isolated and rooted out one at a time as she and many others have been. Perhaps you will be next. Risk your job by standing with Sabina. File your own allegations. Learn the tactics the administration employs and thwart them using the principles I can teach you. Stand now, and stand with others. Stand later, and you may find yourself standing completely alone.
From what I've seen, I know there are plenty of stories of abuse to form a class action lawsuit against the UW System Board of Regents on any day of the year. I know of one female student who was raped multiple times and the administration blamed her. You probably know someone who was raped too. If you are a person of integrity and courage and you have been abused by the UW System or a univertity administration take the first step and file an EEOC complaint and get a right to sue. Go to EEOC.gov - click "File a charge of employment discrimination," get a right to sue and join us and others in a class action lawsuit. The EEOC may not be the right place to file your particular complaint so you need to study and know your rights first.
People of integrity need to take a stand for truth. We need to stand with Dr. Sabina Burton. Anyone who has been sexually harassed, or knows someone who was sexually harassed, and wants to help make a better world needs to take a stand for the very rare people like Dr. Sabina Burton. It’s been open season on vulnerable women on college campuses for far too long. Honest people like Dr. Sabina Burton have been isolated and summarily dismissed routinely for far too long. Speaking ones mind has been punished for far to long in the UW System. Let’s change these things together! Meet us at the courthouse!! Stand with Dr. Sabina Burton!!!!!! Tell others!!!! File a Complaint if you've been abused !!! Support Dr. Sabina Burton - A true Champion of Justice!!!!!
Truth, righteousness, honor, dignity, integrity, valor, courage, compassion and love of fellow human beings are not enough to win against an entrenched, corrupt and powerful University System Administration that is willing to sacrifice good female teachers to protect known sexual predators, criminals and liars.
